What this trial studies

This study investigates the effects of Compressive Myofascial Release and Ankle joint mobilization on individuals who have undergone Achilles tendon repair. It aims to assess improvements in ankle joint movement, functional performance, muscle-tendon elasticity, stiffness, and muscle tone parameters. Participants will be divided into two groups, one receiving manual therapy and the other undergoing ankle mobilization, to determine which method is more effective in enhancing recovery. The study focuses on physically active males aged 18-55 who have had unilateral Achilles tendon repair for at least six months.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are physically active males aged 18-55 who have undergone unilateral Achilles tendon repair at least six months prior.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of repeated Achilles tendon ruptures or other significant lower extremity injuries may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could improve rehabilitation outcomes and functional performance for patients recovering from Achilles tendon repair.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with manual therapy approaches in rehabilitation, suggesting potential success for this study's methods.
