What this trial studies

This study aims to compare the effects of supervised exercise programs with internet-based exercise programs on motor disorders and quality of life in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Participants will engage in a total of 16 exercise sessions over 8 weeks, which will include various types of exercises tailored to their conditions. The study focuses on patients with a high Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) score, contributing valuable insights to conventional physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices for MS. The goal is to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of these exercise modalities in improving patient outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18-65 diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, who have an EDSS score between 5.5 and 7.5 and have internet access.

Not a fit: Patients with severe cognitive impairments, significant cardiopulmonary diseases, or major sensory disorders may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the quality of life and motor function for individuals with multiple sclerosis through accessible exercise options.

How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promising results with internet-based exercise programs for various conditions, indicating potential success for this approach in MS.
