Comparing how students and teachers notice teamwork, leadership, and communication during clinical simulation
Comparison of the Perception of Non-technical Skills by Students, Self-assessment and Teachers, Developed During the Clinical Simulation in Students of the Degree in Physiotherapy

What this trial studies
This interventional project uses clinical simulation sessions to compare how second-year physiotherapy students without prior real-patient experience and their subject teachers perceive non-technical skills. Participants will take part in simulated clinical scenarios and complete standardized questionnaires or rating tools about leadership, teamwork and communication. The investigators will compare responses between students and teachers to identify differences in perception and learning needs. The work is being carried out at the University of Valencia and focuses on developing consistent teaching approaches for physiotherapy simulation.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal participants are second-year physiotherapy students who have no clinical experience with real patients and subject teachers experienced in clinical simulation at the University of Valencia.
Not a fit: People who already have clinical experience, are not physiotherapy students or teachers, or teachers without simulation experience are unlikely to gain direct benefit from this project.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this could improve physiotherapy training so future therapists demonstrate better teamwork and communication, which may lead to safer, higher-quality patient care.
How similar studies have performed: Clinical simulation has shown clear benefits for non-technical skills in medicine and nursing, but its application in physiotherapy is newer and less well-studied.
