What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to compare the effectiveness of Gong's mobilization technique versus Mulligan mobilization technique in patients diagnosed with adhesive capsulitis of the shoulder. Conducted at multiple hospitals in Lahore, the study will involve 60 pre-diagnosed patients who will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatment groups. Each group will undergo a structured intervention consisting of three sets of mobilization exercises per week for six weeks, with assessments of pain, functional disability, range of motion, and quality of life conducted before and after the intervention. Data analysis will utilize SPSS software to determine the outcomes of each treatment approach.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 40 to 50 years with unilateral primary frozen shoulder in the frozen phase.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of shoulder surgery, recent fractures, or systemic inflammatory conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide patients with effective treatment options for improving shoulder mobility and reducing pain associated with adhesive capsulitis.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown varying degrees of success with mobilization techniques for adhesive capsulitis, but this specific comparison of Gong's and Mulligan techniques is relatively novel.
