What this trial studies

This study investigates the effects of two interventions, Floss band application and Mulligan mobilization, on various aspects of ankle function including range of motion, vertical jump, gait, and balance in active healthy young adults. The research aims to clarify the effectiveness of these techniques, as previous studies have not compared them in this specific population. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the intervention groups or a control group to assess the outcomes. The study focuses on individuals aged 18-24 who are recreationally active and have no known diseases.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy young adults aged 18-24 who are recreationally active.

Not a fit: Patients with cardiovascular, rheumatic, dermatologic, orthopedic, or neurologic diseases, or those with recent injuries, may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance rehabilitation techniques and improve athletic performance for young adults.

How similar studies have performed: There is limited existing research comparing these two interventions in healthy young adults, making this study a novel approach.
