What this trial studies

This observational study aims to compare the profiles and domains of early maladaptive schemas among healthcare professionals experiencing burnout symptoms with those who are not, as well as with non-professionals who have burnout. It is an ambispective, non-interventional, multicenter study conducted in France. Participants will be matched based on age and gender to ensure comparability across groups. The study seeks to enhance understanding of the psychological factors associated with burnout in healthcare settings.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include healthcare professionals aged 18 and older who either exhibit symptoms of burnout or do not have burnout symptoms.

Not a fit: Patients with pre-existing psychiatric conditions or those currently participating in other clinical trials may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into the psychological profiles that contribute to burnout, potentially leading to better prevention and intervention strategies for healthcare professionals.

How similar studies have performed: While studies on burnout exist, this specific comparative approach focusing on early maladaptive schemas in healthcare professionals is relatively novel.
