Comparing different methods of measuring body temperature
Comparative Analysis of Core Body Temperature Measurement During Endoscopy: Esophageal Temperature Probe Versus Skin Temperature Sensors

What this trial studies
This study evaluates the accuracy and precision of a skin-attached temperature sensor compared to the traditional esophageal thermometer for measuring core body temperature. Healthy adults aged 19 to 70 will participate in the trial, where both temperature measurement methods will be assessed for correlation. The goal is to determine if the new method can provide reliable temperature readings similar to the standard approach.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy adults aged 19 to 70 years.
Not a fit: Patients with serious side effects from previous sedation or anesthesia, those currently undergoing treatment for a diagnosed disease, or individuals with specific esophageal conditions will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to more convenient and non-invasive methods for monitoring body temperature in clinical settings.
How similar studies have performed: While this approach is innovative, similar studies have shown varying degrees of success in temperature measurement accuracy.
