What this trial studies

This study aims to compare the effects of connective tissue massage and classical massage on pain, functional status, and quality of life in patients suffering from chronic non-specific low back pain. A total of 30 participants will be randomly assigned to one of three groups: one receiving classical massage, another receiving connective tissue massage, and a control group receiving standard physical therapy. Each intervention will be administered three times a week for four weeks, with assessments conducted at the beginning and end of the treatment period to evaluate pain severity, functional impairment, and lumbar mobility. The study follows rigorous ethical guidelines and employs a randomized controlled design to ensure reliable results.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 to 65 with a diagnosis of chronic non-specific low back pain and a pain score of 3 or higher on the Visual Analog Scale.

Not a fit: Patients with recent spinal surgery, systemic inflammatory diseases, or specific spinal conditions like spondyloarthropathy may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide effective non-invasive treatment options for patients with chronic low back pain.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with massage therapies for low back pain, suggesting that this approach may be effective.
