What this trial studies
This clinical trial aims to compare the effectiveness of Cailliet and Kendall exercise regimes on alleviating nonspecific neck pain. Conducted at Good Hands Physiotherapy Clinic in Lahore, the study will involve 36 participants aged 25 to 40 years who have experienced localized neck pain for over three months. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the Cailliet or Kendall exercise group, both receiving baseline treatments including hot packs and TENS. The outcomes will be measured using pain scales and functional movement assessments after a treatment period of four weeks.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 25 to 40 years with localized neck pain or stiffness lasting more than three months.
Not a fit: Patients with serious underlying conditions such as cancer, tuberculosis, or recent cervical spine surgery may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide patients with effective exercise-based interventions for managing nonspecific neck pain.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown mixed results regarding exercise interventions for neck pain, indicating that this approach is both relevant and necessary for further exploration.
