What this trial studies
This research compares the effectiveness of Brugger relief exercises and Kinesio taping on improving forward head posture (FHP) in individuals aged 20 to 40. Conducted at We Care Physical Therapy Clinic in Islamabad, the study involves 28 participants divided into two groups, each receiving one of the interventions over a six-month period. The study aims to provide evidence on which treatment is more effective in addressing FHP-related neck pain, using a protractor app for measurement and SPSS 21 for data analysis.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 20 to 40 with forward head posture and a craniovertebral angle of less than 50°.
Not a fit: Patients with pre-existing musculoskeletal conditions, those currently undergoing physical therapy, or individuals with significant spinal injuries may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help patients choose the most effective treatment for alleviating neck pain associated with forward head posture.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited evidence comparing these specific approaches, similar studies have shown promise in using exercise and taping for improving posture and reducing pain.
