What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the effects of the Bubble Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) device compared to the Active Cycle Breathing Technique (ACBT) in patients with asthma. It is a randomized clinical trial involving subjects diagnosed with mild asthma who will be divided into two groups, each receiving 18 treatment sessions. Group A will undergo ACBT while Group B will use the Bubble-PEP device, with treatment outcomes assessed using SPSS 25 after the sessions.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are males and females aged 31 to 40 years with mild asthma who have never received asthma therapies before.
Not a fit: Patients with hypertension, cardiac diseases, or other unstable medical conditions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide new effective treatment options for asthma management.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have explored bubble-PEP in other diseases, but this approach in asthmatic patients is novel and untested.
