What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of two therapeutic approaches, Bowen Technique and Muscle Energy Technique (MET), in treating mechanical neck pain among computer users aged 18 to 35. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: one receiving Bowen therapy combined with conventional physiotherapy, and the other receiving MET along with conventional physiotherapy. The study will last for ten months and will utilize the Neck Disability Index (NDI) to assess outcomes. Data will be analyzed using SPSS to determine the impact of these interventions on neck pain and functional outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are computer users aged 18 to 35 who work 5 to 7 hours daily.
Not a fit: Patients with recent musculoskeletal injuries or a history of head or spine trauma may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide effective non-invasive treatment options for individuals suffering from mechanical neck pain.
How similar studies have performed: While similar therapeutic approaches have been explored, this specific comparison of Bowen Technique and MET is relatively novel.
