What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to compare the effectiveness of aerobic exercises versus Aviva exercises in alleviating primary dysmenorrhea, which is characterized by cramping pain during menstruation. The study will involve 42 unmarried females with regular menstrual cycles who experience moderate to severe menstrual pain. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the aerobic exercise group or the Aviva exercise group, and their pain levels and quality of life will be assessed throughout the trial. The research will be conducted at Sharif Medical Complex and Kasrat Gym in Lahore, Punjab, using a non-probability convenience sampling technique.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are unmarried females with regular menstrual cycles experiencing moderate to severe menstrual cramp pain.

Not a fit: Patients with pelvic pathology, chronic pain disorders, or those currently using pain medication may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide women with effective non-pharmacological options for managing menstrual pain.

How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown positive outcomes with exercise interventions for dysmenorrhea, suggesting potential success for this approach.
