What this trial studies
This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of bracket positioning using two different 3D printed indirect bonding trays in orthodontic patients. Participants aged 17-30 with mild to moderate crowding will be divided into two groups, each receiving one of the tray designs for indirect bonding. Intraoral scans will be taken before and after bonding, and the accuracy of bracket placement will be assessed using specialized software to compare the planned versus actual positions. The goal is to determine which tray design provides better accuracy in bracket transfer.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients aged 17-30 with complete permanent dentition and mild to moderate crowding.
Not a fit: Patients requiring tooth extractions or those with dental anomalies or significant dental issues may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the precision of orthodontic treatments, leading to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
How similar studies have performed: While there have been studies on digital bonding techniques, this specific comparison of 3D printed trays is relatively novel.
Eligibility criteria
