What this trial studies

This intervention aims to evaluate the effectiveness of community nature walks in a redwood forest over six months, followed by three months of chosen nature activities with family or friends, specifically targeting stress reduction in Black, Latinx, Pilipinx, and Pacific Islander communities. The study will utilize validated biological, behavioral, and sociocultural measures to assess the impact of these activities on chronic stress and health disparities. The approach aligns with the National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD) Research Framework, focusing on various factors that contribute to health disparities.
