What this trial studies

This study aims to enhance a community-based health education program designed to prevent cholangiocarcinoma, a common liver cancer in Thailand. The program focuses on educating residents about risk factors such as liver fluke infections, dietary habits, and lifestyle choices. Over five years, researchers will assess the effectiveness of this program in improving knowledge and behaviors related to liver cancer prevention among community members in Khon Kaen. The study will involve residents aged 20 and older from selected villages in the region.

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 20 and older residing in one of the 16 selected villages in Khon Kaen province.

Not a fit: Patients who are younger than 20 years old or do not live in the designated villages will not benefit from this study.

Inclusion Criteria:

* any individual residing in one of the 16 villages selected in the Khon Kaen province of Thailand, aged 20 and older

Exclusion Criteria:

* any individual 19 years or younger
* any individual not residing in one of the 16 pre-selected villages in the Khon Kaen province of Thailand
