What this trial studies

This clinical trial aims to evaluate the effects of progressive resistance training in conjunction with traditional physical therapy on patients diagnosed with shoulder impingement syndrome. Participants will undergo a regimen that includes resistance band exercises and a multipulley system, alongside conventional treatments such as hot packs and electrical stimulation. The study will assess improvements in strength, pain levels, and range of motion in the affected shoulder. It will involve a randomized control design to compare outcomes between the intervention and control groups.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are young adults aged 20-40 years who have been diagnosed with shoulder impingement syndrome.

Not a fit: Patients with active joint diseases, a history of cardiovascular events, or previous upper limb surgeries may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to improved pain management and functional recovery for patients with shoulder impingement syndrome.

How similar studies have performed: While there is existing research on physical therapy for shoulder conditions, the combination of progressive resistance training with traditional methods in this specific context is relatively novel.
