What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of mental practice, both alone and alongside physical exercise, on somatosensory and motor functions in young nulliparous women. It aims to explore how techniques like motor imagery and action observation can enhance the benefits of therapeutic exercise. The study will involve participants engaging in various interventions, including motor imagery plus therapeutic exercise and action observation plus therapeutic exercise, to assess their effectiveness. The goal is to gather data that could inform future approaches in women's health.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are asymptomatic women over 18 years of age.
Not a fit: Patients with respiratory, cardiac, systemic, or metabolic diseases, recent surgery, vertebral fractures, or spinal osteoarticular disorders may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved therapeutic strategies for enhancing motor skills and sensory functions in women.
How similar studies have performed: While mental practice has shown promise in other contexts, this specific approach in women's health is novel and has not been extensively tested.
