Combining FIFA 11+ and change of direction training for soccer players
The Combined FIFA 11+ and Change of Direction Training on Knee Valgus Angle During Cutting in Male Soccer Players
NA · Mahidol University · NCT06262087

What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of integrating change of direction (COD) training with the FIFA 11+ program on lower extremity performance in soccer players. The focus is on assessing the knee valgus angle during cutting movements, which is a known risk factor for anterior cruciate ligament injuries. By adding COD training, the study aims to reduce the peak knee valgus angle immediately after the intervention. The participants will be soccer players who meet specific eligibility criteria.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are soccer players without a history of serious injuries or current musculoskeletal issues.
Not a fit: Patients with previous serious injuries, surgeries, or current musculoskeletal injuries may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could enhance injury prevention strategies for soccer players by improving lower extremity performance.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown success in using similar training approaches to improve athletic performance and reduce injury risk.
