What this trial studies
This study focuses on understanding the relationship between nutrition and gut microbiota by collecting stool samples from participants in the NutriNet-Santé cohort. It aims to explore how various dietary factors influence the composition of gut microbiota, which has been linked to several health conditions. The research will analyze microbial signatures and their potential associations with diseases such as obesity and diabetes. By examining these connections, the study seeks to clarify the role of diet in maintaining gut health.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are adults aged 18 and older who are participants in the NutriNet-Santé cohort and reside in metropolitan France.
Not a fit: Patients who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have had recent contact with a COVID-19 patient may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights into how dietary changes can improve gut health and potentially prevent related diseases.
How similar studies have performed: Other studies have shown promising results in understanding the gut microbiome's role in health, making this approach both relevant and potentially impactful.
