What this trial studies

This observational study involves capturing high-quality images of various skin lesions using a multi-spectral camera. Patients presenting with specific skin conditions at the clinic will have their lesions photographed, along with reference images of unaffected skin. The goal is to gather data that can be used to develop computer vision algorithms for better diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. The study is open to any consenting adult patient with the required lesions.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are adults aged 18 and older presenting with specific skin lesions such as melasma, seborrheic keratosis, or facial rosacea.

Not a fit: Patients without the specified skin lesions or those who do not wish to participate in the imaging process may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the accuracy of diagnosing and treating skin lesions through advanced imaging techniques.

How similar studies have performed: While similar imaging techniques have been explored, this specific approach using a multi-spectral camera for skin lesions is relatively novel.
