What this trial studies

The Wenzhou Gestational Diabetes Cohort (WGDC) is a prospective cohort study focusing on women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) during pregnancy and their offspring in Wenzhou, China. This study aims to assess the continuous blood glucose response to dietary intake and physical activity over a two-week period, utilizing objective measurements such as accelerometers and continuous glucose monitors. Additionally, it seeks to explore the relationship between these factors and adverse birth outcomes, as well as the long-term metabolic health of both mothers and their children. Participants will be followed throughout their pregnancy and beyond to gather comprehensive data on health outcomes.
