What this trial studies

The study uses a modified online Delphi process to refine and validate an autonomous personalized physical activity algorithm for risk screening and individualized exercise prescription. International experts complete two consecutive rounds of online questionnaires to rate the relevance, clarity, and clinical appropriateness of algorithm components, with consensus defined as ≥70% agreement. If items remain unresolved after the second round, an online focus group will be held to discuss and resolve disagreements. The goal is to produce a consensus-validated algorithm that could support safer autonomous exercise guidance and improve adherence and health outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal participants are international physical activity and exercise experts with recognized scientific or professional experience, typically holding a relevant doctoral degree and available to complete two online Delphi rounds.

Not a fit: People without clinical or scientific expertise in physical activity, and those without reliable internet access, are not the intended participants and would not directly benefit from taking part in this validation process.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the algorithm could enable safer, more effective automated exercise prescriptions that improve adherence and health outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: Delphi and e-Delphi methods are well-established for building expert consensus in healthcare, but formal validation of autonomous personalized physical activity algorithms is relatively novel.
