What this trial studies

This observational project designs, develops, and validates a conversational agent called SANIDAD SEGURA to support healthcare professionals after workplace aggression. It will deploy the chatbot with staff in emergency and critical care units in the Almería Health District and collect data on usability, readability, user acceptability, and preliminary effectiveness in delivering guidance and referrals. Outcomes will include user-reported usability scores, comprehension metrics, engagement patterns, and qualitative feedback to refine the tool. Recruitment is local with informed consent and staff currently undergoing formal institutional interventions for workplace aggression are excluded.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal participants are healthcare professionals aged 18 or older who are actively practicing in the Critical Care or Emergency Units of the Almería Health District and willing to provide informed consent.

Not a fit: Those currently undergoing formal institutional interventions for workplace aggression, staff outside the targeted units or health district, or individuals who prefer or require in-person psychological or legal support may not benefit from this digital tool.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the chatbot could give affected staff immediate, confidential information and referral options, lowering barriers to help-seeking and potentially reducing underreporting.

How similar studies have performed: Related digital health and chatbot programs have shown promise improving access, usability, and psychoeducational support in healthcare settings, but dedicated evidence for workplace violence support among clinicians remains limited.
