What this trial studies
This study evaluates the effectiveness of a Chatbot-based assistant designed to enhance problem-solving skills and coping strategies among parents of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Given the unique challenges faced by these parents, the intervention aims to provide support in managing stress and improving mental health. Participants will engage with the Chatbot to receive training in problem-solving techniques tailored to their specific needs. The study seeks to assess the impact of this digital intervention on the well-being of caregivers and their ability to support their children.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are parents over 18 years old who are the primary caregivers of children diagnosed with ASD and can communicate in Chinese.
Not a fit: Parents who are currently participating in other parent training programs or have severe psychiatric disorders may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this intervention could significantly improve the mental health and coping abilities of parents caring for children with ASD.
How similar studies have performed: While the use of digital interventions for caregiver support is emerging, this specific approach using a Chatbot for problem-solving skills training is relatively novel.
