What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of cervical segmental mobilization on pain, functionality, grip strength, and quality of life in patients suffering from chronic lateral epicondylitis. It is designed as a randomized controlled experimental study, comparing the mobilization technique with standard treatment and deep friction methods. The goal is to determine whether this specific intervention can provide significant improvements in the symptoms associated with this condition.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 25-44 diagnosed with lateral epicondylitis and without any cervical region pathologies.
Not a fit: Patients with a history of cervical surgery, neurological problems in the upper extremities, or other specified exclusions may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could lead to improved pain management and enhanced quality of life for patients with chronic lateral epicondylitis.
How similar studies have performed: While there is limited data on the specific approach of cervical segmental mobilization for this condition, similar interventions have shown promise in managing musculoskeletal pain.
