What this trial studies

This observational study focuses on cervical cancer screening for transgender men in France, who are often excluded from organized health care programs despite being eligible for screening. The study aims to assess the accessibility and effectiveness of the national cervical cancer screening program for this population, addressing the barriers they face, such as discrimination and lack of awareness among health professionals. Participants will complete a survey questionnaire to gather data on their experiences and access to care. The goal is to improve health services for transgender individuals and reduce inequalities in cervical cancer screening.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are transgender men aged 25 to 65 who have retained their cervix and have a history of sexual activity.

Not a fit: Patients who are under 25 or over 65, do not have a cervix, or have a history of cervical cancer lesions may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance access to cervical cancer screening for transgender men, leading to earlier detection and better health outcomes.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited research specifically targeting cervical cancer screening in transgender men, studies addressing health care access for transgender individuals have shown promising results in improving health outcomes.
