What this trial studies
This intervention focuses on increasing HPV vaccination rates in Southwest Virginia through a multi-level media production and social marketing campaign. Nursing and Dental Assistant students from Mountain Empire Community College will create public service announcements (PSAs) after receiving training on HPV vaccination and health communication. These PSAs will be disseminated via a regional transportation system to reach community members effectively. The trial aims to assess the impact of this campaign on vaccine hesitancy and vaccination uptake in the target population.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 18 and older who are enrolled in health sciences programs at regional community colleges or who utilize the regional rideshare services.
Not a fit: Patients under 18 years old will not benefit from this study as they do not meet the eligibility criteria.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this campaign could significantly increase HPV vaccination rates and reduce the prevalence of HPV-related diseases in the community.
