Biobank creation from fertile men
Creation of a Biobank of Biological Samples From Fertile Men
This study is collecting samples from healthy men who have fathered children to create a biobank that will help researchers learn more about urological tumors and how they develop.

What this trial studies
This project focuses on collecting and preserving biological samples from fertile men, specifically those who are normospermic and have previously fathered children. The study will gather samples from surgical resections of common urological tumors, as well as from peripheral blood, urine, and seminal fluid when available. The goal is to establish a biobank that will facilitate research into the pathophysiology of tumors, their origins, and progression markers, ultimately aiding in understanding individual responses to therapies.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are normospermic men over 18 years old who have naturally fathered children.
Not a fit: Patients who are non-normospermic or those who have not naturally fathered children will not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this biobank could provide invaluable resources for advancing fertility research and improving treatment strategies for related conditions.
How similar studies have performed: While the concept of biobanking is established, this specific focus on fertile men and their biological samples is relatively novel and may provide unique insights.
