What this trial studies
This study investigates the effects of a hybrid behavior modification program based on the 'Atomic Habit' model for caregivers of toddlers receiving early intervention. It combines online sessions and individual consultations over eight weeks to enhance caregiver self-efficacy, reduce stress, and improve parent-child relationships. Participants are randomly assigned to either a hybrid intervention group or a self-learning group, with outcomes assessed by a blinded evaluator using various validated measures. The study aims to provide timely support and facilitate behavioral changes in caregivers to promote better interactions with their children.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are caregivers of toddlers with developmental delays who are seeking to improve their parenting skills and relationships.
Not a fit: Patients who are not actively engaged in early intervention programs or lack internet access may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the quality of interactions between caregivers and their children, enhancing child development outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown that hybrid interventions combining online and face-to-face support can effectively enhance caregiver skills and reduce stress, indicating a promising approach.
