What this trial studies

This study evaluates the ability of children diagnosed with ADHD to perceive speech in noisy environments compared to a control group of typically developing children. Participants will undergo various hearing and cognitive assessments, including standard hearing tests and cognitive tests such as working memory and visual attention evaluations. The goal is to understand the factors that influence speech perception abilities in children with ADHD.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include children diagnosed with ADHD who have no previous hearing problems.

Not a fit: Children with prior hearing issues, other psychiatric disorders, or severe learning disabilities may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide insights that lead to better support and interventions for children with ADHD in noisy environments.
