What this trial studies

This interventional study involves 30 healthy volunteers to evaluate shoulder external and internal rotation strength using a Cybex dynamometer. Participants will be positioned seated with their arm at a specific angle to ensure precise measurements. The study aims to determine the reproducibility of these measurements and establish reference values for healthy individuals, which can later be compared with those having shoulder pathologies.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy adults who are students at the Montpellier School of Physical Therapy.

Not a fit: Patients with a history of shoulder pathology in the year preceding the tests will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide valuable reference data for assessing shoulder strength in patients with shoulder conditions.

How similar studies have performed: While similar studies assessing shoulder strength have been conducted, this specific approach to measuring reproducibility in a defined position is relatively novel.
