What this trial studies

This observational study aims to evaluate the overall functioning of patients with complex health issues by investigating the correlation between various assessment instruments. Participants will complete an AMPS test, two questionnaires related to Activities of Daily Living, and standard physical performance tests. The study will include 100 patients referred to the Department of Social Medicine at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital, who will provide informed consent to participate. The goal is to determine whether different measures assess the same or distinct aspects of functioning.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients referred for clinical assessment by municipalities to the Department of Social Medicine who can communicate in Danish.

Not a fit: Patients who are unable to communicate effectively in written or oral Danish will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the understanding of patient functioning and improve assessment methods for complex health issues.

How similar studies have performed: While similar studies have been conducted, this specific approach to correlating various assessment tools in this patient population is relatively novel.
