What this trial studies
This observational study aims to determine the optimal number of attempts for each subtest in the Box and Block Test when assessing motor activity in individuals aged 20-64 who have experienced a stroke. The study will involve participants performing the test to evaluate their motor skills and capabilities. The findings will help establish standardized testing protocols for clinical practice in rehabilitation settings. The research is conducted at the General University Hospital in Prague and the Rehabilitation Hospital of Beroun.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are individuals aged 20-64 who have had a stroke and can perform basic motor tasks.
Not a fit: Patients with severe impairments in hearing, vision, or comprehension may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved assessment methods for motor recovery in stroke patients, enhancing rehabilitation outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: While the Box and Block Test is a well-established assessment tool, this specific approach to determining optimal testing parameters in stroke patients is novel.
