What this trial studies
This observational study aims to evaluate the awareness and attitudes of health professionals, including physicians, gynecologists, and midwives, regarding age-related fertility decline and elective egg freezing. By distributing an online questionnaire, the study will gather data on how often these professionals discuss egg freezing with their patients aged 29 to 37 and their overall knowledge of the procedure. The findings will help identify gaps in knowledge and inform future training and information campaigns for healthcare providers.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are health professionals who have been practicing for at least one year and care for patients aged 29 to 37.
Not a fit: Patients who are not in the age range of 29 to 37 or whose health professionals do not discuss fertility options may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance communication between health professionals and women considering egg freezing, ultimately improving reproductive options for patients.
How similar studies have performed: While there may be limited studies specifically on health professionals' attitudes towards elective egg freezing, similar research on fertility awareness has shown varying levels of knowledge and communication gaps.
