What this trial studies

This study focuses on translating the High-Activity Arthroplasty Score (HAAS) into Turkish and evaluating its validity and reliability for patients who have undergone total knee arthroplasty. It addresses the need for patient-reported outcome measures that assess higher functional skills rather than just quality of life and pain. The study will utilize established methodologies to ensure the translated questionnaire is accurate and reliable for Turkish-speaking patients. Various established scores will also be used for comparison and validation purposes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are individuals aged 18-65 who have undergone primary total knee arthroplasty for osteoarthritis at least 6 months prior.

Not a fit: Patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, or cognitive issues that affect physical performance, or those who have had previous lower extremity surgery may not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a more accurate assessment tool for high-activity individuals recovering from knee arthroplasty, leading to better tailored rehabilitation strategies.

How similar studies have performed: While the approach of validating a new scoring system is common, the specific focus on high-activity patients in the context of Turkish-speaking populations is relatively novel.
