What this trial studies
This clinical trial evaluates the effectiveness of an app-assisted vestibular rehabilitation program designed to enhance patient adherence to prescribed home exercises for vestibular disorders. Participants will be randomly assigned to either the intervention group, which uses the app, or a control group receiving standard rehabilitation without the app. The study will assess treatment outcomes and adherence at three different time points over several weeks. The goal is to determine if technology can improve compliance and overall rehabilitation success.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include individuals aged 18 and over diagnosed with any vestibular disorder requiring rehabilitation exercises.
Not a fit: Patients with physical disabilities that prevent them from performing vestibular physiotherapy or those with central vestibular disorders due to brain damage may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this approach could significantly improve adherence to vestibular rehabilitation exercises, leading to better treatment outcomes for patients.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown promise in using technology for rehabilitation, but this specific app-assisted approach is relatively novel.
