What this trial studies

This project aims to capture the process of tongue extension using dynamic video recordings to establish a comprehensive analysis system for tongue examinations. By inviting 300 participants from the general public, high-quality videos will be recorded and analyzed using computer technology to assess various tongue parameters. This approach seeks to enhance the traditional tongue examination method used in Chinese medicine by minimizing operator errors and improving diagnostic accuracy through automated analysis.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are members of the general public who are able to complete a tongue examination.

Not a fit: Patients who are unable to complete a tongue examination will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this could provide a more accurate and accessible method for diagnosing health conditions through tongue examination in traditional Chinese medicine.

How similar studies have performed: While traditional tongue examination has been practiced for centuries, the application of dynamic video analysis is a novel approach that has not been extensively tested in prior studies.
