What this trial studies
This observational study conducts a retrospective analysis of clinical data from patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenal surgery at Changzhou Second People Hospital between January 2016 and December 2024. The primary aim is to identify risk factors that influence the achievement of textbook outcomes, which are defined by specific postoperative success criteria. Additionally, a nomogram prediction model will be established to standardize the evaluation of surgical quality in these procedures. The study seeks to enhance the understanding and assessment of surgical outcomes for pancreatic cancer and cholangiocarcinoma patients.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates include patients who have undergone radical pancreaticoduodenal surgery with clear tumor pathology and complete clinical data.
Not a fit: Patients who received palliative resection, have tumor metastasis, or severe organ dysfunction may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could lead to improved surgical outcomes and standardized quality assessments for patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenal surgery.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown success in establishing standardized outcome measures for surgical procedures, indicating potential for this approach.
