What this trial studies

This observational study aims to confirm the role of cystic fluid analysis in diagnosing pancreatic cystic lesions and predicting treatment responses. By collecting and analyzing cystic fluid through endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) or surgery, the study seeks to provide insights that can guide treatment decisions. The focus is on understanding the molecular and chemical characteristics of the cystic fluid to improve patient outcomes.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates include adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cystic lesions and can provide cystic fluid samples.

Not a fit: Patients who are under 18, severely mentally ill, pregnant, or unwilling to participate will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could enhance the accuracy of pancreatic cyst diagnoses and optimize treatment strategies for patients.

How similar studies have performed: While this approach is not widely tested, similar studies focusing on cystic fluid analysis have shown promise in improving diagnostic accuracy.
