Analyzing cardiovascular risk factors during treadmill exercise tests
The Influence of Cardiovascular Risk Factors on Electrocardiographically and Hemodynamics Responses to Treadmill Exercise Test in Asymptomatically Subjects: a Clinical Perspective (ERGO-RISC)

What this trial studies
This observational study aims to investigate how various cardiovascular risk factors affect the electrocardiographic and hemodynamic responses during treadmill exercise tests in healthy and asymptomatic individuals. Participants will undergo a treadmill exercise test following the Ellestad protocol and provide information on their cardiovascular risk factors, including age, sex, family history of heart disease, and lifestyle habits. The study will compare the cardiovascular responses of individuals with multiple risk factors against those with few or none to identify significant differences in their exercise test outcomes.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this study are healthy, asymptomatic individuals who can complete a treadmill exercise test.
Not a fit: Patients with existing cardiovascular symptoms or those on medications affecting blood pressure or lipid levels may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this study could help identify individuals at higher risk for cardiovascular abnormalities, leading to earlier interventions and improved health outcomes.
How similar studies have performed: Previous studies have shown that assessing cardiovascular risk factors during exercise testing can provide valuable insights, suggesting this approach has been effective in similar contexts.
Eligibility criteria
