What this trial studies

Adults with hematologic malignancies who meet eligibility are randomly assigned to receive an AI-robot–delivered health education intervention or usual information. The intervention delivers standardized clinical trial information via an AI bot and measures changes in patients' knowledge, attitudes, and intention to participate. Outcomes are collected using questionnaires and intention measures before and after the intervention to compare groups. The study also examines feasibility and potential for scaling this AI-assisted education approach in routine care.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Adults (age ≥18) diagnosed with a hematologic malignancy who are conscious, able to understand and communicate, and willing to give informed consent are the ideal candidates.

Not a fit: Patients with significant cognitive impairment, severe psychiatric disorders, very short expected hospital stays, those receiving end-of-life palliative care, or those who have already completed other clinical trial education programs are unlikely to benefit.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, the AI education approach could increase patient understanding of clinical trials and help more eligible patients consider joining them.

How similar studies have performed: Some digital and AI-driven education programs have improved patient knowledge and engagement, but AI-robot–delivered clinical trial education specific to blood cancers is relatively new with limited direct evidence.
