What this trial studies
This clinical trial investigates the effectiveness of a 4-hour acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) workshop aimed at helping women with obesity adopt and maintain healthy lifestyle behaviors. The study will recruit 70 women, half of whom will participate in the ACT workshop while the other half will serve as a waitlist control group. Participants will complete questionnaires and undergo anthropometric measures at baseline, one week, and one month after the workshop to assess changes in psychological constructs and lifestyle behaviors. The goal is to evaluate the efficacy of the ACT intervention in promoting weight management.
