What this trial studies
The Fade to Fitness Program is an intervention aimed at enhancing the overall health and quality of life for Black men by focusing on four key health behaviors: Physical Activity, Healthy Eating, Stress Management, and Depression Management. This program utilizes psychological and social theories to encourage informed decision-making and foster a supportive community environment. Weekly sessions are held to address each health behavior, with additional community engagement activities in barbershops to promote discussions on health topics. Facilitators lead group discussions and provide support to participants throughout the program.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates for this program are African American or Black American males aged 18 to 90 who can speak and understand English.
Not a fit: Patients currently participating in another health promotion intervention or those on a special diet for a serious health condition may not benefit from this program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this program could significantly improve the health outcomes and quality of life for Black men by promoting healthier lifestyle choices.
