What this trial studies
This project aims to develop and implement an online health app that evaluates and monitors adherence to a Mediterranean lifestyle among patients who have experienced a cardiovascular event. The app will utilize a validated questionnaire to assess various lifestyle factors such as diet, physical activity, and social habits. Participants will receive personalized recommendations based on their results, which will be visually represented to encourage healthy behavior changes. The app is designed to be user-friendly and inclusive, catering to individuals with disabilities.
Who should consider this trial
Good fit: Ideal candidates are Spanish residents aged 18 to 75 who have recently suffered from a cardiovascular event and are enrolled in a cardiac rehabilitation program.
Not a fit: Patients with severe chronic diseases unrelated to coronary conditions or those unable to adhere to lifestyle recommendations may not benefit from this study.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, this app could significantly improve lifestyle habits and reduce the risk of further cardiovascular events in patients.
How similar studies have performed: While similar lifestyle intervention studies have shown promise, this specific approach utilizing a Mediterranean lifestyle app is relatively novel.
