What this trial studies

This study compares the quality of 3D hand modelization using the EOS imaging system to traditional computed tomography (CT) methods. It aims to evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of EOS imaging in capturing detailed hand and wrist structures. Patients requiring a CT scan of their hand or wrist will be enrolled, and informed consent will be obtained prior to participation. The study is conducted at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Besançon.

Who should consider this trial

Good fit: Ideal candidates are patients who require a CT scan of their hand or wrist.

Not a fit: Patients who do not need imaging of the hand or wrist will not benefit from this study.

Why it matters

Potential benefit: If successful, this study could provide a more accurate and less invasive imaging option for patients with hand injuries.

How similar studies have performed: While there is limited information on similar studies, the use of advanced imaging techniques like EOS has shown promise in other areas of musculoskeletal imaging.
