Community cancer clinical trials network in Nevada
NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) Community Sites (UG1 Clinical Trial Required)
This program runs local cancer clinical trials and care-delivery studies so people with cancer in Nevada and nearby areas can join research close to home.

What this research studies
The program supports local hospitals and oncology clinics in Nevada (with a few satellite sites) to offer National Cancer Institute clinical trials and related cancer control studies. It enrolls patients into treatment, prevention, screening, survivorship, and cancer care delivery protocols and collects biospecimens for research. The site aims to enroll at least 80 new unique patients each year across these trial types and to take part in multiple cancer care delivery protocols annually. Joining usually involves consenting to a study, following study procedures through your treating clinic, and possibly providing blood or tissue samples.
Who could benefit from this research
Good fit: Ideal participants are people with cancer (or those eligible for prevention or screening studies) who receive care at participating NCRF-affiliated clinics and are willing to join a clinical trial.
Not a fit: Patients not treated at participating sites, those who do not meet trial eligibility rules, or those who choose not to enroll may not directly benefit from this program.
Why it matters
Potential benefit: If successful, it can give patients earlier access to new treatments and improve local cancer care practices through research findings.
How similar studies have performed: NCORP community sites have a long history of enrolling patients in NCI trials, so this continues an established and successful model for bringing trials to community settings.

About this research
- This is an active NIH-funded research project — typically early-stage science, not a clinical trial accepting patient enrollment.
- Some NIH-funded labs run parallel clinical studies or seek volunteers for related work. To check, contact the principal investigator or institution listed above.
